Started in 1967, by Russell Tebeau, Big River Sod Farms grew by hard work and dedication from the entire family.

At the turn of the century, Russell’s third son, Mike, accepted a partnership and stake in the family business. In four short years, the father-son duo had moved from strictly installation to owning and establishing a farm of their own.

Today, Mike’s two sons, Kory and Zach, continue this tradition

Kory attended The John Cook School of Business at Saint Louis University, majoring in economics. He currently leads the sales and installation division. Zach runs the farm division on site and has been involved since its inception.
